Thanks for browsing through my Dubai Architecture Gallery. Working as an Architecture Photographer in Dubai is both challenging and very rewarding. With barely a day going by where a new project is not unveiled the number and sheer scale of projects here in the UAE is to say the least, dauntingly vast. From the Dubai Marina to the World, we seem to have it all. We also however have a fairly short season of beautiful weather and an even shorter period of what I like to call, “Heavenly Light”, each day for us to shoot in. So the burning question on many a budding photographers lips will be, “ what does it take to produce good Architectural Images in Dubai”; the answer to this is however not a simple one. In short I guess you could say dedication, but the real answer is much more complex. Firstly you need time, we get about 15 minutes of great light each day, so you can count on one awe inspiring shot per location per day, and that’s if you have done your homework before. Secondly you need the right equipment, a field too vast and daunting to cover in this. Third and most importantly you must not enjoy sleep, as jokes aside you are going to be doing the bare minimum of sleeping when you get into it. And last and not least you need patience, not for the time it takes to get the shot, but to deal with the plethora of security guards that will defend their projects against rogue photographers with their lives if need be. Hats off to them, they do their job very well, but try tell that to a Photographer at 3am.
